CSEA Announces Endorsements in Key Albany County Races

CSEA – New York’s leading union – today announced endorsements of candidates for key Albany County offices. The union will support County Executive Dan McCoy, County Comptroller Michael Conners and Sheriff Craig Apple for re-election. CSEA will also support Town of Colonie Judge Peter Crummey in his bid for re-election.

Albany County Executive Earns National Achievement Award for Innovative Veterans Program at DSS

ALBANY, N.Y. (July 9, 2015) – Daniel  P. McCoy, Democratic candidate for Albany County Executive, today submitted more than 9,000 petition signatures today for his re-election bid, quadrupling the required signatures needed for his campaign, as well as Sheriff Apple, Comptroller Conners, and county coroners who were also included on the county petition.

County Executive Speaks Out on Request By Global Partners to Diminish Role of DEC in Permit Process

Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy today urged the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to issue a “positive declaration”  that the application submitted by Global Partners for a Title V permit modification to its facility at the Port of Albany will have a significant environmental impact. Last month the DEC rescinded the Negative Declaration and the Notice of Complete Application it previously issued on Global’s application in 2013. The positive declaration would require an Environmental Impact Statement be completed before the permit application is considered.
