In order to honor the five service members who were killed in Chattanooga, Tenn. last week, Albany County Executive McCoy today ordered all flags on county property be lowered to half-staff until sunset Saturday.

CSEA Announces Endorsements in Key Albany County Races

CSEA – New York’s leading union – today announced endorsements of candidates for key Albany County offices. The union will support County Executive Dan McCoy, County Comptroller Michael Conners and Sheriff Craig Apple for re-election. CSEA will also support Town of Colonie Judge Peter Crummey in his bid for re-election.

Albany County Executive Earns National Achievement Award for Innovative Veterans Program at DSS

Albany County Executive McCoy announced today that the county has been selected for a national achievement award for the Veteran Identifier program administered by the Department of Social Services (DSS). The Achievement  Awards from the National Association of Counties serve to honor innovative, effective county government programs that enhance services for residents.
