The following elected officials, parties and organizations have endorsed County Executive Daniel P. McCoy in his 2023 re-election campaign.

“County Executive McCoy is a true champion and tireless public servant for the people of Albany County. While I’m fighting for the Capital Region’s fair share in Washington, Dan is here to ensure those funds are used to lift up our communities and recover. I’m proud to endorse County Executive McCoy in his re-election and continue our work together over the next four years,” said Congressman Paul Tonko.

"It is a privilege to join the team to re-elect County Executive Dan McCoy. Dan has kept the County on solid footing and has been extraordinarily receptive to collaboration with the Legislature and other government bodies,” said New York State Senator Neil Breslin.

“There are few elected officials more committed to public service and the betterment of our community and Capital Region than Albany County Executive Dan McCoy,” said New York State Assembly Member Patricia Fahy. “Under County Executive McCoy’s leadership, Albany County has acted to reduce the cost of living for residents and local tax burden, encourage and incentivize economic development in every corner of the county, and improve county services all while balancing a budget. I am thrilled and proud to support Dan McCoy for re-election as our Albany County Executive because I know he’ll continue to deliver real results for our communities and families each day he’s in office.”

“I am honored to support the re-election of Dan McCoy to continue as our County Executive. I have had the privilege to work with Dan for over 20 years now. His experience is wide and vast and his focus on critical issues affecting all families in our county is well known, successful and appreciated,” said New York State Assembly Member John McDonald III. “Additionally, Dan has been a recognized and respected source on many public policies which we have included or adjusted in our state policies which I believe has enhanced our overall response to those we serve. I look forward to another four years of County Executive Dan McCoy!”

Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan said, “County Executive Daniel McCoy has led our county through the depths of a global pandemic - partnering to distribute information, PPE, and vaccines to our residents with an emphasis on our most vulnerable and underserved communities. Dan also works closely with municipalities across our county to enhance public safety by ensuring the expansion of much-needed mental health resources and criminal justice alternatives such as LEAD. As our County Executive, an active-duty veteran, and former Albany Firefighter, Dan is a tireless public servant. I strongly encourage the residents of Albany County to join me in supporting County Executive Dan McCoy for re-election.”

“It should be no surprise to the voters of Albany County that County Executive McCoy, Sheriff Apple, and Comptroller Rizzo are seeking re-election in 2023.
